Starting Out with 1. e4 New!
This special 30-lesson opening course teaches you a complete king's pawn opening system. Most chess games open with 1. e4 and this course shows you how to get off to a solid start. The course begins with opening principles, and goes on to cover all the major variations, along with classic Black mistakes you can exploit. Included quizzes help to both sharpen your tactics and deepen your understanding of the underlying positional principles.
Chess U also offers a course on 1. d4 openings. Stay tuned for courses from Black's point of view that give you the tools to equalize the game when defending.
We do hope you enjoy the course and hope to see you win many wonderful games playing 1e4. Good luck!
