Top grandmasters competed in the super-strong Tal Memorial 2011.
When the smoke cleared Carlsen had caught up to Aronian and both tied for first with 5.5 out of 9.
Next were Karjakin, Nepomniatchi, and Ivanchuk with 5 out of 9. World Champ Anand and Svidler had an even score with 4.5 out of 9, and former World Champ Kramnik and Gelfand had 3.5. Nakamura brought up the rear with 2.5.
